Our Lobby
While we hope that your wait is as short as possible, we realize that it is sometimes inevitable. Please come in and make yourself at home! Our lobby has a fish tank, a TV, a toy box for the kids, and some reading materials (both educational and entertaining). We stock many Hill’s Prescription Diets, Royal Canin Veterinary Diets, and even a few Purina Veterinary Diets. Other diets may be special ordered as needed.
Our Exam Rooms
Each exam room is fully stocked with most everything we need for routine examinations and collection of common laboratory samples. We realize that your pet is an important part of your family and may become anxious when separated from you, we try to perform as many routine procedures as possible with you in the room to comfort your pet. Additionally, Exam room 2 is equipped with a computer linked to our digital x-ray machine so that we can show you any x-rays that are taken during your visit. Our third exam room is often utilized for technician appointments, detailed patient consultations, and when it is time to say goodbye to your beloved pet. Room 3 is equipped with the same routine supplies as the other rooms, but has more cozy furnishings and the ability to have softer lighting and more privacy.
Our Pharmacy
Our pharmacy is stocked with many prescription medications that your pet may require and our vaccines. We routinely stock Interceptor and Interceptor Plus for heartworm and intestinal parasite prevention and control and Credelio for the prevention and control of fleas and ticks. We also carry a combination product, Simparica Trio. If your pet requires a medication that we do not stock, we may do a special order or send you home with a written prescription. It is also the home to some of our centrifuges and microscopes.
Our In House Laboratory
Our in house lab is equipped with a urine chemistry machine, urine sediment reading machine, CBC machine, chemistry machine capable of running chemistries, electrolytes, total thyroid levels, and urine protein creatinine ratios. Most blood work is still sent to the reference lab, but in house capabilities allow for immediate results in critical situations and the ability to recheck individual values at a discounted cost to you.
Our Treatment Area
You have many choices when it comes to choosing a veterinarian. We realize that it is often what is “behind the scenes” that counts! The treatment area is where your pet will stay when hospitalization or more involved treatment is necessary. Our treatment area also houses our in house laboratory and office space. Our treatment area allows our staff to be able to closely monitor your pet during their entire stay in our hospital. This area is also the home of Navy, Piper, Geoffrey, Cheech, & Chong.
Our Radiology (X-Ray) Suite
On site x-ray capabilities allow us to give you fast answers to many common problems your pet may experience. In 2010, we upgraded to full digital radiography. Digital radiographs allow us to get results much faster and with less patient and staff exposure. We can easily e-mail radiographs to specialists and for telemedicine radiology reviews. We are also able to see things more clearly and magnify questionable areas in high resolution. Our radiology room is also equipped with an anesthetic/oxygen machine for patients who require oxygen or anesthetic for their x-rays
